Accessibility
The Stonehocker farmhouse is a multi-story Queen Anne style home constructed in 1887 and as a result
is not fully accessible to all persons with disabilities. Tours of the house require walking, stair climbing,
and periods of standing. Access to the house requires navigating stairs, doors, and corridors that may be
narrow. As a result, the historic house museum is not wheelchair accessible. Walking apparatus are
permissible in the house museum. Certified service dogs are allowed in the house only when utilized for
assisted physical care. Assistance navigating the house and climbing stairs is available upon request.
The Historic Preservation Commission will strive to provide any special accommodations you may
require. Guided tours, brochures, and photo or other digital media may be available for viewing. Please
contact us in advance for these arrangements.
